Who we are

AH Finserv is a mutual fund distribution business based in Maranchery, Malappuram, Kerala.

Registration status

Our AMFI registration application is in progress. AMFI has not yet issued us an ARN.

Until it does, we are not an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor, and we cannot accept investments, process transactions, or earn distribution commission. What we can do is explain how mutual funds work in general terms and answer your questions.

The current status is shown in the footer of every page on this site and will be updated the day it changes. We will not describe ourselves as registered before we are.

How we are compensated

When investments are made through regular plans, the mutual fund house pays the distributor a commission. That commission is already accounted for within the scheme's expense ratio — it is not an additional charge added on top of what you pay, and we do not bill you a separate fee.

Direct plans of the same scheme carry no distribution commission and generally have a lower expense ratio, typically by under one percentage point a year. You are always free to invest directly without us.

We have written this out in full, including the honest case for not using a distributor at all: direct vs regular plans.

Where your money is held

Your investments are held by the scheme, under SEBI regulation, in your own name. They are not held by us and are not mixed with the fund house's own money.

Money moves from your bank account to the fund house. Redemption proceeds are credited only to your registered bank account. We never take custody of your money at any point, and we never accept cash.

Conflicts of interest

A distributor earning commission on regular plans has an inherent interest in you choosing a regular plan over a direct plan. We state that plainly rather than leaving you to work it out.

Our response to it is to make the cost difference explicit before you choose, and to put the comparison on this site where you can read it without asking us.

What we do not promise

  • We do not guarantee returns, and no mutual fund return is guaranteed.
  • We do not predict market performance.
  • We do not name, rank or recommend specific schemes on this website.
  • We do not display fund house names or logos without their written approval.
